Research firm Nielsen released updated statistics on smartphone application usage in the United States.
There are a combined 84 million Android and iOS users in the United States. The average user spends an average of 39 minutes inside one of their 41 smartphone applications each day. Facebook is the top application not already bundled with the operating system.
